  • Description: Compliance verification ensures that the incoming materials meet legal, regulatory, and industry standards required for manufacturing. This step is critical to ensure that the company adheres to environmental, safety, and quality regulations. Non-compliant materials can lead to product recalls, fines, or damaged reputations, so proper verification is essential for legal and regulatory conformity.

  • Process Detail:

    • Regulatory Requirements Review: Each component or material should be checked against the relevant regulatory standards applicable to the industry. For example, components used in the automotive industry may need to meet ISO/TS 16949, while medical devices must comply with FDA regulations. Review the regulations that govern product safety, environmental standards, and quality control for each type of component.

    • Environmental Compliance (RoHS, REACH, WEEE): Many electronic components must comply with environmental regulations. RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) ensures that components do not contain certain hazardous substances, such as lead, mercury, and cadmium.
